John's Workshop

I chose to create a Bauhaus font because of the previous lecture on bauhaus, I wanted to add colour to it such as red, yellow and blue the three main colours usually associated with Bauhaus, but I wanted to save it for if I decided to digitally create the font because of the colour being consistent and the fact Illustrator allows you to create perfect shapes and sizes.
This font was inspired by a Bauhaus artist that used different shapes and patterns to create artwork, out of the three I produced this was my favourite, I will be experimenting with colours of the coming weeks and will most likely choose to develop this as my final font.

The arrow font was my least favourite as it is too basic and has probably been made over a 1000 times which is why I will not be choosing this font to develop. The bubble font however is a close contender with the Bauhaus font, I like the way the font looks however there was no consistency in size when drawing it out so it isn't an accurate representation of a real font.

Indesign Workshop

This is an image I used using pexels to learn the techniques Stephen taught us.
I used different font options such as kernings and resizing etc. to change font types.

I also learnt how type font along a path and also how to make font go around an image.
This is my own version inspired by the Alanis magazine spread I have created one using a lion and words relating to lion, I have tried to use as many techniques taught in the workshop to produce this transcription.

After Effects Workshop

Lamborghini After Effects from Yousuf Khan on Vimeo.

I had some pictures of Lamborghini cars and created a video almost as an advert, however I could not find suitable music and did not have enough time to use different effects to make it look more like a car video, this will be experimented in a later stage. This was my first time on After Effects, I enjoyed it because video editing is something I would like to explore in the future.

John's Workshop

This has been my favourite workshop as it has allowed me to be creative and free to produce what I want, I have produced various fonts by looking at artists and objects around me such as pens, buildings and signs. My favourite idea is the Bauhaus font with the different shapes as it is the most interesting and has the most potential to be an aesthetically pleasing typeface.

Indesign Workshop

This is my first time using Indesign, It's a change from Photoshop however it has it's uses and will become essential to me in further practice, I have used the grid system to create these four posters and used placeholder text to create the writing on the poster. Overall I feel I have done a good job, however I have to work on my curved lines as I found these difficult to replicate.
